The International Invitational Conference held in Lisbon on October 1st and 2nd, 2014 provided valuable feedback on the proposed priority themes for research on illicit drugs.

From the 1st – 2nd of October 2014, the Lisbon International Invitational Consultation (LIIC) will take place where research priorities will be discussed with a selected number of prominent stakeholders.

At the COPOLAD Research Networks Conference, Ms Els van Gessele, Project Coordinator of ERANID, presented the project, focussing on progress and challenges in preparing the Strategic Research Agenda.

ERANID is a network of eleven funding organisations from six different EU-member states. Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal and the United Kingdom work together on an ERA-NET about Illicit Drugs. The coordinator of ERANID is ZonMw.

In an interview with the Chairman of the European Research Area Network on Illicit Drugs (ERANID), Henk Garretsen, he explains the aims and strengths of this European partnership. He also looks ahead at the activities that are planned for the coming period; developing the Strategic Research Agenda is the main focus of the project in 2014, leading to its first call for proposals in 2015.
