Announcement: the 2nd call for proposals of ERANID is online!

June 28, 2016

The second ERANID call for proposals, "Society and responses to drug use", is now open for submission. The deadline for submission is October 18th, 2016 - 12:00 (CET).

2nd call for proposals

This second and final transnational call for proposals in the frame of the ERANID project is dedicated to society and responses to drug use. This topic examines some of the areas of the SRA not yet covered and builds on national priorities of the participating countries. It follows and complements the focus of the first joint call on understanding drug use pathways.

Transnational aspect

We wish in particular to fund research that explores the impact of drug policies on society and the importance of the social environment in pathways to recovery and socioeconomic reintegration. For both topics, researchers will exploit the transnational aspect of this call (e.g. via comparative analysis) and its European coverage (e.g. through methodological advancements, the development of common metrics...).

Funding

This joint call will see approximately 3 million Euros in total being made available by the funding organisations involved in the call. The funding is based on the virtual common pot system in which countries fund their national researchers in networks of (minimum three, preferably more) applicants from participating countries. Applications will then be rigorously selected for their scientific excellence and impact to society. The potential participating countries will be Belgium, France, Italy, Portugal, the UK and the Netherlands.

Applicants

Joint research proposals may be submitted by applicants belonging to one of the following categories, according to the national funding organisation’s regulations for research funding:

  • Public and private scientific, research, technological and innovation institutions
  • Universities
  • Research active industry
  • NGOs
  • other institutions involved in research activities as long as they are eligible for funding

How to apply

Applicants should read the call text and the Strategic Research Agenda. Proposals shall be submitted via an electronic submission system ProjectNet in which an application form will be uploaded. Guidelines will help applicants in all aspects of their proposal.
